Modular sets are long reach picks with awkward loads. A 60 foot box has to clear the foundation wall, settle onto the sill, and mate to the unit beside it within a fraction of an inch. We plan the crane position and spreader rigging before the carriers arrive so each unit comes off the truck once and goes where it belongs.

One Crane, One Operator, One Plan
The operator who plans the set is the one in the seat on set day. We work with the manufacturer's set crew or your own, agree on the order the units land, and keep the carriers moving so the whole house or building is closed in before dark.
Operated crane service and rigging. The crane arrives with its operator, and when you need it our crew handles slings, spreader bars, and the ground side of the set. Tell us what you are picking and we match the machine to it.
All of Iowa from one yard at 1520 Hwy 22 in Wellman, with no radius cap. We also cross the river regularly for jobs in western Illinois and northeast Missouri. Multi-day sets anywhere in that range are scheduled as one booking.
Four cranes: a National NBT40-1 boom truck, a 60 ton Link-Belt, a Link-Belt HTC-8690 truck crane with 140 feet of main boom, and a Kobelco CK1100G crawler that reaches 250 feet with jib. Each one is inspected on a schedule and has its load chart in the cab.

We Plan The Position
We pick a crane with the reach to cover every unit from one setup when the lot allows, and plan where the carriers stage.
Rig And Set
Spreader bars and slings go on at the lifting points, each unit comes off the carrier, and the set crew guides it onto the sill.
Mate, Release, Repeat
We hold each unit until the crew confirms it is square and mated, then move to the next one until the building is closed in.

A typical two to four box home is set in a single day. Larger multi-unit buildings are planned across consecutive days so the crane stays in one position as long as possible.
Yes. Spreader bars and sling sets are sized to the unit length and lifting points on the set sheet, and they arrive on the crane.
Tight lots are common on modular sets. We plan for a longer reach crane, mats for the outriggers, and a staging spot for the carriers before we commit to a date.
Yes. Most sets run with the factory crew or the dealer's crew on the ground. We coordinate the sequence with them ahead of time and take direction from the set lead on the day.
Yes. Panelized walls, roof sections, and SIPs are lighter than boxes but need the same care on reach and placement. Send the panel schedule and we will plan it.
