A rooftop unit swap is a reach problem. The crane sits in the parking lot, booms over the parapet, and sets a unit on a curb the operator often cannot see. We plan the setup from the roof plan and the unit weight, work with your crew on the roof by radio, and do the old unit off and the new unit on in one visit.

Old Unit Off, New Unit On, One Visit
Most HVAC picks are blind. The operator works off your rooftop lead's radio calls, keeps the load high until it is over the curb, and lowers on command. We stage the old unit on the ground for haul off and have the new one rigged and ready before the crane swings back.
Operated crane service and rigging. The crane arrives with its operator, and when you need it our crew handles slings, spreader bars, and the ground side of the set. Tell us what you are picking and we match the machine to it.
All of Iowa from one yard at 1520 Hwy 22 in Wellman, with no radius cap. We also cross the river regularly for jobs in western Illinois and northeast Missouri. Multi-day sets anywhere in that range are scheduled as one booking.
Four cranes: a National NBT40-1 boom truck, a 60 ton Link-Belt, a Link-Belt HTC-8690 truck crane with 140 feet of main boom, and a Kobelco CK1100G crawler that reaches 250 feet with jib. Each one is inspected on a schedule and has its load chart in the cab.

We Check The Reach
We run the radius from the parking spot to the curb against the load chart, pick the crane, and confirm the lot can take the outriggers.
Swap The Units
The old unit comes off and lands on the ground, the new one goes up and onto the curb, all on radio calls from your crew on the roof.
Reopen The Lot
Once your crew releases the last pick, we break down and clear the lot so the building's parking is back before tenants notice.

Yes. We plan the swing path to stay clear of entrances and occupied areas, cone off the setup zone, and can schedule early mornings or weekends when the lot is empty.
We set outrigger pads and mats to spread the load. Tell us if the lot is new asphalt or has underground utilities and we will plan the setup spot around it.
We land the old unit on the ground or directly onto your trailer or the disposal truck if it is staged nearby. Tell us where you want it and we will set it there.
